Citi Forward Credit Card
I already have a bunch of credit cards to optimize my cash back on purchases. It’s not often that a great new cash back credit card gets introduced.
Citibank recently unveiled a new cash back credit card called CitiForward.
What’s so good about this credit card?What’s great is that you can earn 5 points for all restaurants, books (Amazon.com!), movies, music. I don’t know about you, but those categories are a huge percentage of my purchases.
You might wonder what you can use these points for. Well, there’s the usual redemption for gift cards and other stuff which might not be worth it. Honestly, it would better if they gave you straight credit back, but they don’t.
You can get around this, though by asking for a check to repay a student loans. Now, I don’t even have any student loans but it doesn’t even matter. They will send you a check which you can just deposit in the bank. You would effectively get a 5% cash back.
You can also get 11,000 free points for signing up (6000 pts for $50 spent in 3 months; 5000 points for signing up for e-statements). You’ll also get an 100 extra points each month if you pay your minimum balance.
