Free Money by Selling Free Coupons

Over the past year, I’ve earned $227.75 by selling coupons on Ebay which I obtained for free.
Most of those coupons were from Staples, although I did sell an Airtran $25 off coupon today. I spend less than 5 minutes per week listing the coupon on Ebay and emailing the coupons to the winners. Easy money, huh?
So how can you get these free coupons? You have to opt in with your email to receive special promotions. Not every company will have these offers. Here is my experience with various companies.
- Staples: Great source of coupons with some nice eBay value. I usually get a $25 off $100 or $30 off $150 coupon every 1-2 weeks. I can sell these for $4 – $8. Unfortunately, I don’t know how they decide who to send coupons too. I have other Staples accounts for which they don’t send any coupons.
- Airtran: About once a year, they’ll send me a $25 off coupon. I can get about $10 from ebay for this.
- OfficeMax: They will occasional send out great coupons (similar to Staples)
- Dell: Occasional has good coupons but most of them are useless.
- A previous post talked about Paypal coupons, but you can’t usually sell these since they are specific to your account
Check out my ebay guide if you need help with ebay selling. Another incidental benefit is that you can build up your selling reputation pretty easily this way.
One of the drawbacks is that you may be susceptible to junk mail. Be sure to use a spare email account.
Anyone have any other ways to get free coupons?
